• Introduce students to the technology of 3D Printing.
• Help them understand it's place amongst the conventional types of manufacturing.
• Walk them through the history of 3D Printing and then provide an outline of the current processes of 3D Printing.
• FFF or Fused Filament Fabrication is the most basic type of 3D Printing.
• It is also favored as the hobbyist go-to type of manufacturing of idea-to-design-to-product.
• Students will be introduced to the workflow of FFF Technology.
• Then there will be a tutorial of software settings for printing the part.
• Students can print example files and their own designs* (subject to printer conditions and tutor's approval).
• In order to complete their program, they will have to pass a theory + practical exam.
• Upon completion of the basic course, they will be given a brief introduction of Figure 4 technology and how the advanced program of 3D Systems will shift the gears forward in their careers.
